The Plant Controller is a key member of the site leadership team and serves as the finance and accounting leader for the manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial control and accounting activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and internal controls.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

· Proactively identify & lead analysis of operational and financial data to provide insights into business performance, drive consistency in performance across plants and functions
· Direct and validate all accounting activities including labor distribution, inventories, general receipts, scrap, rework, accounts payable, closed order variances, fixed assets transaction and journal entries.
· Ensure compliance with GAAP and Company policies by maintaining proper controls, reconciling general ledger accounts, and monitoring data integrity.
· Collaborate with functional managers to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and offer recommendations for improvement.
· Manage internal and external financial statement audit requirements.
· Leads management reporting for the plant including cost center performance to budget and product profitability. Provides responsible managers with feedback on financial performance and actively engages with the management team to develop and track action plans.
· Lead preparation of annual plans/budgets including functional project plans, functional budgets, balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required; MBA or professional accounting certification a plus.
· Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with increasing management and supervisory responsibility required.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Plant Controller role; experience in a complex manufacturing setting required.
