Job Summary: The Domestic Violence Intervention Program offers a comprehensive range of services including crisis intervention, safe shelter, counseling, advocacy, and support to meet the needs of victims and their families. The Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for supporting administrative efforts by building and managing a portfolio of major monetary gift prospects and moving those prospects through the steps of an established process of donor engagement, collaborating with other DVIP departments as needed.
The Stewardship Coordinator will foster and maintain relationships with giving partners throughout the 8-county service region by developing strategies to identify major gift donors, increase private gift support, and build on existing donor relationships while working with the Community Engagement team to maximize and expand the donor base. This position will work as part of the Community Engagement Department and answers to the Director of Community Engagement.
The Stewardship Coordinator will implement donor engagement and cultivation strategies, and provide support to the Development Coordinator with event planning, managing organizational records, logistics, and the direct mail program. The Stewardship Coordinator will research and manage potential major gift prospects with the goal of maintaining continuous support from donors capable of making gifts of $50,000 . The Stewardship Coordinator must have a comprehensive understanding of fundraising best practices and ethics, the ability to manage complex database systems, possess excellent written, oral, and graphic communication skills and a high degree of self-motivation, and be passionate about the programs and services offered by the Domestic Violence Intervention Program.
Certified Domestic Abuse Advocate: Victim counselor certification is required after appointment to position.
