Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an Annual Giving Manager, Special Projects to join the Annual Giving team in the Office of Advancement. This position will manage marketing and solicitation efforts connected to the Benevolent Fund. This includes but is not limited to print pieces and digital campaigns. The Annual Giving Manager will work as an integral team member to assist with the development and execution of an Annual Giving strategy for society members. This individual will manage and execute Annual Giving stewardship strategies and donor outreach.
This position will report to the Director of Annual Giving and/or the Senior Director of Development
This position is hybrid-eligible following the probationary period
Key Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Annual Salary Range: $47,665-$50,000
