Corporate Giving Manager jobs in District of Columbia

Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Giving Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     In this role you will not just be building a team, you will be getting paid to build your business.You will do so under safety-net of one of the largest, most well-respected and successful Face-to-Face Fundraising Companies in the country. Receive support in building your team (recruitment, training, travel opportunities), while receiving training in all parts of the business (from managing cash-flow, KPI’s and recruitment to establishing a clear growth plan and building your brand). At the completion of the program, you take the keys to the business we’ve helped you build and run (no strings attached). We offer you the possibility to partner with us as a business on charity campaigns for years to come (based on having built a relationship of trust, shared values, good business and a shared genuine commitment to fundraising done right for our clients)

    Requirements

    • At least 1 year of leadership/management experience in Face-to-Face Fundraising (Canvassing) for non-profits
    • Commitment of 2 years to this program. (1st year building your team, organizational structure and monitoring your KPI’s – 2nd year as an independent business operating with support necessary to continue your growth)
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • A long-term commitment to ethical fundraising
