Credit and Collections Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections. Consults with current and future clients regarding their level of credit. Additionally, Credit and Collections Director oversees the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Credit and Collections Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. JOB SUMMARY:
This individual serves as the senior leader overseeing the Commercial Sales, Operations, and Services areas of the credit union's commercial lending program. This role is further responsible for expanding the commercial lending department by way of developing and implementing strategies to grow the loan portfolio while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining financial stability. Additionally, they play a crucial role in risk management by setting credit policies and guidelines, while building and maintaining relationships with key business clients and stakeholders, representing the credit union at industry events. Works closely with other senior management to align the commercial lending strategy with the broader organizational goals. This position requires a deep understanding of credit products, excellent leadership skills, and a strong capacity for financial analysis and decision-making.
