Credit and Collections Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections. Consults with current and future clients regarding their level of credit. Additionally, Credit and Collections Director oversees the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Credit and Collections Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. You’ll be conducting moderately complex customer billing analysis and activities by researching and resolving large and small wholesale customer billing claims.
What you’ll be doing...
Conducting moderately complex customer billing claims research, analysis and resolution.
Processing billing adjustments.
Working with internal sales, support and collections teams to ensure the timely resolution of outstanding issues.
Ensuring individual and departmental claims resolution targets are met.
Developing and documenting methods & procedures to ensure all processes are documented.
Supporting project initiatives and recommending process enhancements and efficiencies.
What we’re looking for...
You are a well-organized, detail-oriented person who enjoys managing work efficiently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, but you’ll also have a customer service orientation and be a great communicator who can interact well with a diverse range of people.
You’ll need to have:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
One or more years of Accounts Receivable experience.
Prior commercial customer service, billing assurance or claims resolution experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
