  • About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Specialist within Collections Risk Strategy / Unsecured Default Servicing Risk, a part of the Consumer Lending Chief Risk Office (CRO) team. In this role, you will: Create, maintain and champion an environment where there is a high degree of transparency Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management and methodology for identification and controls across all risk types Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Effectively work on a high diverse team who are geographically dispersed across multiple time zones located in the US, India and Philippines. Participate in less complex initiatives and identify opportunity for risk mitigation strategies within Credit Risk Lead, develop, and implement strategic initiatives and processes to drive the company credit culture, appetite, and business performance Review and analyze reports to assess and predict risk and monitor performance that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables Receive direction from leaders Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Interact with internal customers Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed Required Qualifications: 2 years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Collections or Recovery work experience in operation or credit risk Strong educational credentials with an M.B.A. or master’s degree preferred Risk professional with an understanding of various risk types (compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) Outstanding quantitative and critical thinking abilities Innovative problem solver Ability to meet stringent deadlines Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment Advanced Microsoft Office skills Job Expectations: This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
