POSITION TITLE: Loan Clerk

REPORTS TO: AVP of Consumer Lending

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB GRADE 7: $16.58 - $20.72 Targeted Hourly Rate

*This position works on-site. Remote work is not available at this time.

JOB SUMMARY:

This employee is responsible for the maintenance of the files for the Credit Union. The duties include but are not limited to filing microfiche, photocopying, and typing folder labels.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Accurately sort and file all member information.

• Assist and back up to the Title Clerk.

• Type folders with name and account number for all new member loan accounts

• Obtain copies of statements per members' request.

• File all loan folders pulled throughout the day.

• Ensure that the archive records are properly stored and easily accessible.

• Ensure that all records are current.

• Check and maintain regular supplies and notify Supervisor of need to replenish supplies.

• Photocopy and archive electronic documents.

• Assist in relieving reception/telephone operator.

• Accurately perform loan account maintenance as requested by staff.

• Understand compliance issues & attends training as they relate to Loan Clerk, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act; Reg P; Patriot Act.

• Performs all other assigned duties.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary

• Strong attention to detail

• Must me a self-starter and be able to work independently

• Must be able to adapt to change

• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the staff, Members and general public.

Education/Experience:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have the equivalent of a high school diploma (G.E.D. certificate).

• Works in a safety conscious manner which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to self or others in the workplace.

• Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace.

• Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
