CREDIT RISK MANAGER develops and implements policies and procedures that reduce credit risk for a financial institution. Manages the building of financial models that predict credit risk exposure to the organization. Being a CREDIT RISK MANAGER oversees the preparation of performance reports for management. May require a master's degree. Additionally, CREDIT RISK MANAGER typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The CREDIT RISK MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. - Proven experience working in risk management or a related field for a minimom of 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
