CREDIT RISK MANAGER develops and implements policies and procedures that reduce credit risk for a financial institution. Manages the building of financial models that predict credit risk exposure to the organization. Being a CREDIT RISK MANAGER oversees the preparation of performance reports for management. May require a master's degree. Additionally, CREDIT RISK MANAGER typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The CREDIT RISK MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Credit Risk Reporting & Analytics Officer

  • Summary:  Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly Credit Risk Management reports and other reports as requested, examines loan transactions for adherence to bank policy while promoting an accurate loan database by performing the following duties.
    Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
    • Identifies and analyzes areas of potential credit risk to the assets, earnings and repayment capacity of the borrowers.
    • Gathers risk-related data from internal or external resources.
    • Prepares monthly and quarterly complex Credit Risk Management reports and presentations that outline findings to Board of Directors and Executive Management.
    • Prepares complex external reports for regulators.
    • Writes and updates Credit Risk Reports in BIC, the IBS reporting writing software.
    • Recommends changes and new procedures to improve efficiency in existing processes and procedures.
    • Manages special projects under the direction of the Assistant Manager.
    • Provides administrative assistance as needed.

    Education and/or Experience                                                   
    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Finance or Accounting preferred; two to three years related experience preferred and/or MBA.
    Computer Skills                                                             
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Ability to use bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, ADP, etc.  Ability to use basic office machines.
