    Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the critical care department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by established standards and protocols.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the critical care unit, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional development among staff through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing education.
    • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and performance metrics, and implement interventions as necessary to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in critical care nursing.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in a related discipline preferred.
    • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Alabama or multi-state licensure.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership and managerial experience in critical care nursing.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of director-level experience within a short-term acute care facility.
    • Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles, practices, and standards of care.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
