Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director Critical Care assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for nursing care for Critical Care and Rapid Response at Summerville Medical Center. The Director assumes responsibility for care of patients as they move through the hospital and into the home or other care facilities. Provides leadership and support to the unit using leadership skills to ensure best outcomes and high quality compassionate patient care. The Director works with medical staff and other health care professionals collaboratively. Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License required
• BLS Certification on hire (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS Certification on hire required
• Certification in critical care nursing highly desirable

Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred, MSN highly desirable.

Experience: Critical care nursing experience highly desirable. Supervisory or management experience required.
