Waitsfield Children’s Center (WCC) is seeking a Program Director to lead our play-based center. We are a licensed childcare center in the heart of the Mad River Valley serving infants through preschool aged children on a year-round basis. We have been serving families in the Mad River Valley and surrounding communities for nearly 50 years and strive to offer a home-like environment, providing personalized care to our youngest population. WCC is a small center and a wonderful place to work, offering a fun environment, exceptional co-workers, and an amazing group of 18 children.
As the Program Director, you will oversee all staff and work closely with your team to ensure the Center operates smoothly for our children, families, and teachers. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to lead a small center, or a qualified Teacher Associate or Teacher who is looking to expand their experience, build their leadership capabilities, and make a difference in the community, while continuing to work directly in the classroom. The Program Director is responsible for guiding the Center’s operations, including overseeing licensure and accreditation, staffing, enrollment, developing and maintaining the budget, curriculum, liaising with families and the community, as well as teaching in the classroom.
