The opportunity
Must have the ability to analyze Customs related documents and communicate effectively both verbally and written with internal/external sources to reach desired resolution. Must have import/export knowledge and excellent computer skills.
The role- Key & transmit import entries to Customs to obtain release prior to arrival to the port.
- Prepare daily FTZ data for processing, pull documents, assign manufacturer ID’s, complete audits processing.
- Print & Analyze import documents for accuracy.
- Transmit AES data to Customs.
- File documents for import QP/WP movements
- Key & transmit export bonded movements to Customs.
- Notify internal and external contacts of release, provide delivery orders as required.
- Arrange payment for pier pass and exam changes with broker.
- Archive documents for required Customs record keeping.
- High School/Community/Trade Diploma
- 1 – 2 years of import/export experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility to changing work priorities.
- Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Confidentiality of data
- Hearing is required to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings.
- Vision is required to read instructions, interpret data, and formulate metrics.
