The Customs & Etching Department Assistant will work under the Creative Director and work alongside the Customs Department Supervisor to process custom glass etching requests and orders, laying out designs in and on glass, taping/etching/sandblasting glass, learning and developing related “coldshop” glass skills, learning and developing relevant graphic design skills. The customs assistant may also be asked to aide the lampmaker and learn slumping and fusing glassworking skills as needed.
During peak shipping seasons, the customs assistant may be asked to assist the shipping department as needed.
The work will primarily take place in the Shipping Warehouse and occasionally in the adjacent coldshop building. There is a work station and shared Customs workstation, printer, vinyl printer and cutter, and other tools necessary for the work in the Shipping Warehouse.
