General Purpose
Perform job duties within the manufacturing environment to provide relief for planned (vacation, break) and unexpected absences to ensure the continual production of product.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line
- Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced
- Complete all required documentation and quality checks
- Record and document all production runs, downtime, weights, code dates, and label verifications
- Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks on equipment in both manual and automated capacities
- Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
- Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
- Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
- Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
- Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

OUR VACATION RELIEF MACHINE OPERATOR FOR THIS POSITION CAN MAKE UP TO:
$21.22 per hour plus night shift premium of $1.00/hour plus $2/hour supplemental pay
SCHEDULE:
Sunday-Saturday (24/7 operation) - positions will cover day, swing, or night shifts

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year experience preferred.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs, frequently lift and/or move above shoulder height, stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment with some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to egg and dairy allergens.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
- Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
