Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Medicaid Enrollment Specialist to join our team. This role involves direct engagement with clients to facilitate their enrollment in Medicaid, ensuring they gain access to essential home care services. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and proficient in managing documentation and communication with state agencies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage clients through various means to facilitate enrollment in Medicaid.
• Screen and assess eligibility for Medicaid benefits.
• Liaise with Social Security, Medicare, and private insurance companies to resolve insurance issues.
• Communicate with insurance companies for service authorization.
• Process Medicaid applications and recertification, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
• Coordinate with HRA case workers and NYIA (New York Independent Assessor Program) regarding application statuses.
• Conduct daily reviews of insurance verification and Managed Care.
• Present our programs to community organizations and medical professionals, establishing strong partnerships; such as community centers, hospitals, senior adult’s events, Physician’s offices, Houses of worship etc.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of agency services and value proposition.

Job Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor degree in one of the following: Healthcare, Social Work, Psychology or Business Administration
• Travel flexibility within NYC's five boroughs and Nassau County.
• Previous healthcare experience, preferably in Home Care.
• Self-driven, positive, organized, with excellent communication and time management skills
• Bilingual in Spanish or Russian is advantageous
• Maintaining a clean, professional image and demeanor at all times

Compensation/Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
