Sr. Estimator - Data Center Construction

  • Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a deep understanding of data center infrastructure. As a Data Center Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to accurately estimate construction costs and timelines for data center projects. You will work closely with construction managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that project budgets and timelines are met.

    Location: Onsite in office located in Denver, CO
    Reports to: VP QS & Contracting

    Responsibilities:
    • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to accurately estimate construction costs for data center projects.
    • Develop and maintain cost databases and historical cost data for data center construction projects.
    • Create detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
    • Prepare and present project estimates to senior management and clients.
    • Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, and contractors to develop accurate construction schedules and timelines.
    • Identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact project budgets and timelines.
    • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to data center construction.

    Skills and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
    • 10 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a focus on data center construction
    • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, materials, and equipment related to data center infrastructure
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and RSMeans
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Willingness to travel as required for project site visits and meetings
