Data Management Director manages the planning, designing, and developing of an organization's databases. Develops policies and procedures to lead and manage a team of database engineers. Being a Data Management Director designs and modifies procedures to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of databases. Monitors and optimizes database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Additionally, Data Management Director evaluates existing database design to determine necessary updates and collaborates with stakeholders to determine future organizational needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Data Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
· Manage data hygiene on network storage to ensure data is properly maintained and stored in appropriate repositories. · Work with business units to create reports to visualize data that will improve operations in the organization. · Participate in ongoing decisions concerning data collection, study, design, methodology, and data analysis. · Maintenance of reports in response to individual and/or business unit requests · Presenting data to colleagues in other departments. · Providing tier 2 support to the helpdesk. · Analyze, troubleshoot, and investigate information system anomalies. · Assist in user onboarding and offboarding as needed. · Support Mobile Devices and MDM management. · Desktop imaging and PC configuration management with 3rd party software (i.e. Ivanti, MS Intune, etc.) · Ensure software is installed and functioning on end-user endpoints and resolves or escalates the issue(s) as necessary. · Provide off-hours support |
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS |
· Serve as backup to the Helpdesk when limited coverage is available.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY |
· 3 years minimum overall IT experience, a degree in IT, MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field. · Knowledge of current IT networking and security concerns and changes as they relate to the corporate IT environment. · Knowledge of several of the following platform: SQL, DB2, MS PowerBi, Targit Bi platform · Broad understanding of API’s and using them to ingest data. · Experience with backup solutions. · Experience supporting iOS mobile devices in an Enterprise environment · Must understand intermediate math and be able to evaluate numbers. · Possess good interpersonal communication skills. · Able to take rotating on-call. |
