Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Agronomist to join our team. The Agronomist will work with landowners and farm operators across the U.S. to provide recommendations through a formal plan, and execute conservation practices that utilize your agronomy technical assistance. Our overall goal is to increase interested farmer participation and engagement in a variety of different conservation programs through direct consulting and assistance ultimately improving their natural resource outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a conservation and agronomy specialist by providing technical assistance to farming clients and land owners for designated stewardship projects that you help design.
• Identify realistic, plausible opportunities for the implementation of key conservation practices through discussion and analysis of client-controlled properties.
• Assist in the monitoring and compliance of client-controlled properties that are currently engaging in conservation programs.
• Build relationships and assist with project development surrounding the continuous improvement of our internal practices and procedures.
• Demonstrate winning leadership through humility and exemplary behavior amongst our team.

Skills:

• Proficiency in data analysis techniques
• Advanced knowledge of excel, adobe, or any mapping programs are a plus
• Strong analytical skills to analyze complex agricultural data
• Experience in scientific research methods and laboratory work is a plus, but not required
• Ability to collect and interpret data related to agronomy
• Practical understanding and application of agronomy and environmental science
• Prioritizing and organizing work

• Evaluating and implementing ideas
• Navigating organizations
• Acting as a champion for positive change
• Communicating effectively
• Strong understanding of agricultural industry and the ag retail system, cropping systems, conservation delivery systems, promotion of conservation practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
