Dean of Fine Arts manages administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Fine Arts leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Fine Arts requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Fine Arts manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. We are looking for a experienced Pre-K dance/movement instructors.
Instructor will be teaching in a Christian ministry, Woodland Fine Arts Academy (WFA), who has a desire to lead with professionalism and Christlikeness.
Applicants must be motivated to create community while developing classes with an emphasis in fundamentals, original choreography and collaboration. This teacher will be comfortable sharing their artistic passion and mature Christian faith to middle and high school dancers (with the potential of adding more classes in the future, if so desired). The desired candidate will have experience both as a dancer and teacher/choreographer who enjoys engaging with and developing mentor relationships with preschoolers.
WFA staff are highly relational, collaborative in nature and work across disciplines to produce challenging and inclusive opportunities for students. The dance teacher will join a team of colleagues who support one another to develop rich curriculum, unique performance opportunities and an environment where students and staff are encouraged to dig deep into both their technique AND their faith.
