Delivery Truck Driver jobs in New Jersey
Delivery Truck Driver delivers packages or products according to the scheduled route. Follows designated schedule and seeks efficient travel routes. Being a Delivery Truck Driver scans or records packages and maintains documentation of deliveries. Conducts routine vehicle inspections and schedules repairs on vehicles as needed. Additionally, Delivery Truck Driver follows all DOT and company regulations to operate safely. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Valid Driver's License. May Require Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class B. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Delivery Truck Driver works under moderate supervision. Successful applicants will receive training on operating protocols and procedures.Job:
Deliver packaged items to residential and commercial addresses.
Duties:- Load and unload truck;
- Follow instructions of electronic routing device - deliver packages;
- Comply with policies and procedures regarding truck operation, package delivery and customer interaction;
- Arrive at loading dock/pick up location on time and in uniform;
- Keep truck interior neat and clean;
- Maintain a friendly, courteous and cooperative attitude.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Must be able to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and Holidays
- Must be able to work a flexible shift (mornings and/or evenings)
- Ability to complete all basic and recurring training
- Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
