The Diagnostic Imaging Manager is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising all activities related to the Imaging Department.  This position is responsible for leadership and supervision of a team of professional and paraprofessional employees accountable for providing competent care and achieving optimal patient outcomes. The manager oversees implementing and complying with current standards of care; overseeing patient care in multiple Imaging modalities with patients of all ages, newborns to elderly; scheduling of employees, hiring employees, employee evaluations, discipline, time and attendance management, budgeting, participation in the Nursing Division leadership team meetings. The Radiology/Medical Imaging Manager provides support, direction, and resources for the staff in the department.  The manager provides supplemental staffing of clinical areas when needed.  The position requires an experienced Radiology Technologist with innovative ideas, flexibility, effective leadership, excellent communication abilities and relationship-building skills.  The manager must be available to solve problems and work through conflicts to help improve care delivery. The position embraces service excellence and Team STEPPS tools, and actively participates in the hospital’s Patient Experience and performance improvement programs.  Due to changing organizational needs, work hours may vary. 

Education: 
Required:  High School education (or equivalent).  Graduate in good standing from a JRC/AMA Radiologic Technology Program.  Associates Degree in Applied Science.  American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

Experience:
Required: Formal training in a JCAHO facility.

Licensure/Certifications
Maintains current and valid AART, State of Nebraska licensure
