Diagnostic Imaging Manager jobs in Washington

Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Manager of Diagnostic Imaging Services plans, organizes and directs the activities of Diagnostic Imaging Services at Providence St. Peter Hospital and assigned departments within Southwest Washington Region. The provision of safe, efficient, cost effective, quality imaging services is the focus of the departmental operations.

    Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree Business, Healthcare Administration, or Radiology.

    • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist

    • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Or

    • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or

    • Upon hire: National Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Or

    • Upon hire: National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists

    • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

    • Experience in the education of personnel management.

    • 2 years Supervisory capacity in a Radiology Department.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Graduate of an ACR Certified Radiologic Technology Training Program, ARDMS Program or MNTCB.

    • Master's Degree

    • Completion of Providence Core Leader Development Program.

    • Upon hire: Lean certification

    • Upon hire: Lean Six Sigma certification

    • Upon hire: Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) through Association for Medical Imaging Management, and ACHE Mentor

    • 5 years Working in one or more of these positions: Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Technologist, or Sonographer.
