Diesel Mechanic performs inspection, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of diesel engines. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems. Being a Diesel Mechanic utilizes computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes. Replaces and/or refurbishes parts. Additionally, Diesel Mechanic maintains maintenance logs according to requirements. Ensures services provided follow all quality standards and safety procedures. May perform DOT annual inspections on vehicles. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive & Diesel Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Diesel Mechanic works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Summary
This position is based out of Tonopah, AZ., just 45 minutes west of Phoenix. Hickman's Family Farms is looking for motivated mechanics to fill full time positions on both 1st and 2nd Shifts. As a diesel mechanic you will have the opportunity to work independently and in a team environment in the inspection, maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment, diesels, forklifts, and farm equipment. As part of the diesel mechanic team you will participate in the inspection and repairs of OTR trucks and trailers while complying with all safety regulations.
