Director of International Education jobs in Indiana

Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of International Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Summary

    The director of experiential education is responsible for the delivery of learning initiatives focused on personal skills, leadership development and character education. In concert with enterprise objectives, the director will consult and partner with industry-leading program providers to identify desired program outcomes and implement a menu of offerings and experiences that enhance membership outcomes and affinity. This role will work collaboratively across the Delta Tau Delta enterprise to ensure a holistic programmatic framework.

     

    Essential Duties 


    Strategic Work

    • Establish partnerships with best-in-class organizations to deliver recognized programs, initiatives, and resources to the Delt membership, both undergraduates and alumni.
    • Enhance the Delt experience through experiential learning centered around leadership development and character education across the Life of Excellence framework.


    Functional Responsibilities and Deliverables

    • Serve as primary project manager for various internal and external initiatives:
    • The Life of Excellence
    • The Membership Impact Study
    • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
    • Program Assessment
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations to deliver experiential offerings 
    • Administer logistics for experiential programming
    • Deliver content either through electronic or face-to-face facilitation to undergraduate members and chapters
    • Manage budgets as they pertain to areas of responsibility


    Other Responsibilities

    • Travel to Delta Tau Delta educational programs and experiences.
    • Represent the organization and act as an ambassador of Delta Tau Delta.
    • Work with various departments and external audiences to communicate and achieve organizational initiatives.
    • Protect confidential and sensitive information.
    • Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.


    Required Qualifications (Education, experience, knowledge, skills, overtime, and licenses)

    • Master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with at least two to four years of professional experience working in the fraternity or sorority industry or higher education.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Capability to manage projects effectively and efficiently.
    • Ability to travel approximately 10-15%. Work includes nights and weekends.
    • Valid driver’s license.
