Director of Total Quality Deployment jobs in Idaho

Director of Total Quality Deployment deploys total quality operational excellence policies and programs within an organization. Develops master plans, timelines, and budget allocation for implementation. Being a Director of Total Quality Deployment forms and guides cross functional teams. Ensures programs educate and motivate employees to achieve a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, Director of Total Quality Deployment utilizes Six Sigma/Lean methodologies and typically is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or similar area. Typically reports to senior management. The Director of Total Quality Deployment manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Director of Total Quality Deployment typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • The Director of Quality is responsible for:

    • Develops, maintains and administers Quality Improvement in conjunction with Administration, Medical Staff and the Board of Trustees, (BOT)
    • Provides education of staff, Medical Staff, and BOT of Quality plans and responsibilities
    • Manages and monitors resolution of quality issues that have been identified
    • Maintains a recording process on every complaint or issue
    • Monitors and coordinates Medical Staff Peer Review responsibilities (hospital) and Mid-Level Reviews (rural health clinics)
    • Consults and assures appropriate response to any deficiencies or conditions unmet to the appropriate agencies in a timely manner
    • Oversees the Studer Reporting Program to assure hospital-wide quality improvement project reporting
    • Recommends action to the CEO and/or BOT for any systemic errors or process problems discovered.
    • Attends and participates in Safety and Security meetings as requested.
    • Establishes an anonymous reporting mechanism which allows employees to immediately, without fear of retribution, report any Quality deficiencies.
    • Reports to the BOT, as required, concerning Quality projects/issues.
    • Consults on policy and procedure development throughout the facility, as needed.
    • Oversees and supervises the quality services department and its employees.
    • Conducts data mining and enters data into spreadsheets and/or programs to store information.
    • Develops report pull lists to assist in finding patient cases that fall within the pull list specifications.
    • Submits data to appropriate entities with whom THVC has an agreement to share information.
    • Searches and reviews information from the various entities to learn about the programs and requirements for the Quality improvement entity.
    • Maintains knowledge of the specifics of criteria and measurement requirements in order to obtain the correct data and to be able to convey that information to providers and nurses to assist in the improvement of patient care.
    • Provides reports with handouts and/or graphs as necessary to assist in informing groups about the data findings for TVHC Quality Improvement.
    • Stores information in accessible areas for Quality Manager access.
    • Assists with any other duties as assigned.


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
    • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, and all health care professionals and TVHC staff
    • Intermediate knowledge in computer use; including word processing, data entry, data mining, and spreadsheet applications.
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Maintains and follows guidelines set for standards of practice in quality patient care, and infection control practices as required by state, federal, and the facility.
    • 3-5 years hospital based, healthcare industry experience
    • Significant knowledge concerning medical care, nursing skills, hospital policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, ethics and good grasp of medical terminology

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • RN and/or Quality experience
    • Understanding of medical record documentation
    • Additional languages – Spanish preferred
