    About The Role

    You will be an experienced Lean and Six Sigma practitioner responsible for development of Lean and Six Sigma capabilities and deploying lean and six sigma methodologies to solve business problems and improve processes across the Global Quality Enterprise. You will support us in leading continuous improvement and transformation efforts that support the strategy.

    This is a hybrid position that reports to the Head of Global Quality Business Strategy.

    How you will contribute

    • Develop guidance and provide support to labs/functional teams to coach leaders on all aspects of continuous improvement.
    • Aid labs/functions/enterprise in identification of highest impact areas for improvement and support delivery of improvement and execution of high impact Lean/Six Sigma projects.
    • Promote delivery of business strategy by leading process optimization and problem solving. Structure improvement programs in a logical set-up to maximize impact for the business
    • Train, coach, lead, and support Quality Business Excellence colleagues to build capabilities, deploy foundational systems to support performance, such as tiered accountability, 5S, capacity planning, OEE, and Gemba, among others, and to coach quality colleagues in root cause problem solving and six sigma projects.
    • Liaise and collaborate with other organizations to ensure alignment of the global program best known methods. Drive best practice sharing across GQ.
    • Support Laboratory excellence and Quality Business Process excellence by leading projects, developing business cases. Achieve project timelines with limited resources, operating in a matrix environment, ensuring all stakeholders have the required information to support the strategy
    • Operate in a multicultural environment, fostering diversity and inclusion
    • Support cross-functional teams and collaborate with key stakeholders. You may be in contact with Takeda customers, CMOs, vendors and consultants and external benchmarking bodies. External industry contacts as it relates to staying current on OE methodologies and tools.
    • Demonstrate excellent working knowledge and subject matter expertise on Lean Operating systems and their application in a GxP environment.
    • Other projects or tasks as assigned by manager.

    What you bring to Takeda

    • BS degree in a technical or business discipline.
    • Minimum 8 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or quality/technical services role. Demonstrated teaching and coaching skills in a leadership role (people, projects, teams).
    • Lean Practitioner with at least 8 years' experience. Lean Master/ Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is desirable.
    • Six Sigma Black Belt training and demonstrated experience.
    • Fluent in English.

    • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
    • Travel nationally and internationally up to 20%.

    U.S. Base Salary Range

    $149,100.00 - $234,300.00

    The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

    U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
