Dispatcher coordinates drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions and relay delivery status to customers. Being a Dispatcher records driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data in a computer database to track metrics. Ensures drivers are compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations. Additionally, Dispatcher requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Dispatcher works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Dispatcher typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dispatcher in Steele or Eldridge, ND. The Dispatcher coordinates the application of chemicals and fertilizer while dispatching trucks. The dispatcher will also help with inventory control through close contact with the location manager, warehouse personnel, and agronomists.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with agronomists and managers in organizing application orders and fertilizer loads to keep all equipment moving in the most efficient manner.
- Work with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely loading of all tender trucks.
- Ensure maps and directions are clear for applicators by utilizing MZB Dispatch systems.
- Communicate with each location in the dispatch group to help them manage their staff accordingly.
- Assist locations involved with managing assets for application services including replacement, expansion, divestment, repairs, and maintenance.
- Work closely with agronomists, managers, and customers to handle any misapplication or non-performance claims.
- Meet with applicators regularly to discuss their performance and goals.
- Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- English Proficiency.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year technical school; or one or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous logistics, dispatch software background, and DOT regulations knowledge can be beneficial.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
