Distribution Center Supervisor supervises daily planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversees one or more of the distribution center functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Supervisor monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Supervisor utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. The 3rd shift Warehouse Cleaner is responsible for daily cleaning of the Warehouse.
What you'll be doing :
Sweeping and mopping the Warehouse.
Repairs pallets.
Snow removal, to include walkways, ramps, emergency exits, fire hydrants and path to pump shack.
Rubbish removal.
Entrance and exit clean up as needed.
Painting and facility repairs as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Responsible for performing all work related tasks using Good Manufacturing Practices by following the Food Safety and Food Quality requirements of the SQF Program.
This position requires the understanding of the role of the SQF Practitioner in ensuring that food safety decisions are made using a risk based approach.
All food safety issues and incidents are to be reported to the QA Department either directly from the employee or by the Supervisor.
Please have strong math skills and communication skills. Computer experience preferred. Forklift experience desired. Ability to be trained in running battery operated equipment, such as floor scrubbing machine, nail gun and pallet jack.
Must be self-motivated and ability to function independently.
