The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a medical billing office, with skills in insurance verification, authorization, posting copayments, daily balancing/reconciliation, completing bank deposit slips, conducting financial assessments, and some familiarity with AR follow-up for medical claims. This role is an essential part of the billing team providing internal and external customer service in a behavioral health and clinical outpatient setting. The candidate must demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills, highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience with electronic health record systems for practice management is strongly preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Strong emphasis is placed on insurance verification and requesting authorizations. Performs all duties as part of the billing team ensuring that insurance eligibility has been confirmed prior to registering clients into the practice management software. Be available to support and assist the clinical staff as needed throughout the day.
