Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compelling content for written copy and/or websites and other online communications media. Being an Editor ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Additionally, Editor may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Editor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Person must have an in-depth understanding of how to create content that appears in social spaces (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.). Must have the ability to find solutions to quickly turn around projects. A high degree of accuracy, creativity, and professionalism is expected.ResponsibilitiesEditing everything from high-end broadcast work to social content to web videos.Working in sessions with agency and brand clients.Overseeing projects creatively and partnering with other PXP entities - color, mix, etc - to ensure that the end product is the highest possible quality.Final QC on all of their work (sometimes including final conform if that makes the most sense).Partnering with the Lead Editor to ensure that the studio is set up correctly in terms of both technology and pipeline.Cultivating relationships with key clients to ensure that they are taken care of and want to come back.Always working to improve their reel to ensure that PXP leadership can be selling them on upcoming projects.Location & CommitmentsFull-time role, in-person/in office will resume as a hybrid approach to work. Travel may be required for production needs.Overtime may be required to deliver on client projects and deadlines. Qualifications5-10 years of experience as an Editor. Must have experience working in the commercial space, either in a high-end Post house that specializes in advertising or an internal agency studio.Expert-level in Premiere Pro. Proficient in After Effects, Resolve, Photoshop and Illustrator.Must have a dynamic reel with work in either automotive, food/beverage, packaged goods, or beauty. Deep technical understanding of video and the post-production pipeline. Dynamic, creative personality.Passionate, driven, proactive, curious and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-expectation environment.Strong sense of priorities with the ability to manage multiple asks/tasks.
