EEG Technician performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Attaches electrodes to the patient. Being an EEG Technician records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Additionally, EEG Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEG Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an EEG Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Job description-
- Responsible for set-up of EEG reads and communicate with Neuro providers. Covers PAMC inpatient peds and adults and outpatient peds.
- Skills REQ: Trauma setting experience required, Seizure Studies, Portable Studies
- Is on-call REQ: Yes. 1 overnight call per week and1weekend nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) every 4 weeks
- Weekend REQ: Weekend coverage required from 0700-1900.
- Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs?: Yes
- Open to accommodating block schedule?: No
- Locals Accepted: No - Candidates perm address must be at least 50 miles from facility
