Job Description
Under the direction of the Electric Deputy Director, the Electric Superintendent ensures that all electric meter"s measure accurately to allow for billing of customers, provide needed assistance and direction to Line Foremen, Electrician Foreman, and Utility Dispatcher. The Superintendent will be responsible for recording and documenting daily timesheets, vehicle mileage logs and interruption reports. Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the Fleet and equipment repairs for the Electric Department. The Superintendent will need to assist the Deputy Director with generating monthly reports to be presented to the Electric Department Director. Incumbent will assist the Deputy Director in working on the annual budget, present equipment needs, and promoting safety and customer satisfaction.
Additional Information
SALARY: $88,150 - $95,410 per year DOQ
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma/GED equivalent
Five (5) years managerial experience
Valid Driver"s License. Must meet City"s insurability requirements.
Other conditions:
Must pass the City"s required background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ten (10) years of experience in the electric utility field
Five (5) years in distribution engineering and operations; or distribution construction
Journeyman Lineman certification or Journeyman Meter Technician certification
