Additionally, Electrical Utility Trouble Shooter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. UTILITY PERSON
Position Summary:
Responsible for the storage and sanitation of all china, silverware and glassware in the hotel.
Essential Functions:
- Operate dish washing machines.
- Ensure dishwasher temperature is within the specified range and the chemicals are properly connected to the machine.
- Properly clean and disinfect the dish washing machine in the evening.
- Sweep and mop floors. Check for broken items on the floor and west areas that may be hazardous and removes the hazard.
- Clean walls, table, racks, sink floor mats and disposal areas.
- Clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, and ceiling vents
- Empty all trashcans.
- Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Understand and use safety procedures when using all equipment. Understands chemical hazards and follows safety procedures when using chemicals, chemical compounds and cleaning products.
- Know correct temperature for washing, rinsing, and pre-soaking of all pots, pans, utensils, plates, and glasses.
- Receive deliveries and place stock items in the proper area.
- Follow proper sanitation procedures for sanitizing items that are unable to be washed with the dishwasher.
- Maintain cleanliness of the loading dock and dumster area.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
- The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
