We are professional, agile and our goal is to High Country Elevator is a leading provider of grain handling services in Dove Creek, Colorado. We are seeking an experienced Grain Elevator Operator to oversee all aspects of the operation.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all grain elevator activities, including receiving, weighing, cleaning, storing, and shipping grain.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all grain handling equipment, including elevators, conveyors, and dryers.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with local producers and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Manage grain inventory levels, track production data, and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee grain quality control procedures and ensure compliance with all industry regulations.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage a team of grain elevator employees, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
• Prepare and manage grain elevator contracts with local and domestic partners.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in agricultural operations.
• Experience in supervising a team.
• Working knowledge of grain handling equipment and procedures.
• Must have communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Need to be comfortable with computers, experience with QuickBooks and grain management software a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong safety focus and commitment to a safe work environment.
• A valid Colorado driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Compensation package:

• Hourly pay
• Overtime pay
