Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Planning- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities in the logistics industry.
- Lead the procurement team in sourcing and negotiating contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly and manage risk to ensure continuity of capacity.
- Develop and implement vendor management programs to drive performance improvements and cost reductions.
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service levels.
- Monitor procurement spend and generate regular reports on cost savings and procurement activities.
- Ensure procurement processes and policies are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Implement best practices in procurement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline procurement processes and improve service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement department.
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to optimize procurement activities and decision-making.
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations and integrate relevant advancements into the procurement strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the logistics or 3PL industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
