    In this role, you will

    • Act as the point of contact for specific ER matters across the organization, including questions of policy, performance management concerns, and employee concerns or complaints.
    • Coach, guide and advise on all matters related to low performance management.
    • Support internal investigations, independently or in partnership with Legal and/or Safety.
    • Consult with the Legal Department to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws and serve as a company resource to recommend and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
    • Identify opportunities to instill sound ER practices that are in alignment with company goals and objectives; promote effective workplace practices; recommend and assist in the development of management training; and participate in departmental and/or cross-functional special project teams.
    • Participate in the establishment and/or refinement of HR policies, practices, and standards.
    • Monitor and analyze ER data and recommend organization-wide and/or client-specific interventions to address identified trends.
    • Work on specialized projects as needed including definition and establishment of processes, systems, and reporting to enable us to thrive as a high-achieving public company.

     Required Qualifications

    • 7 years of progressively responsible HR and/or business experience, which includes at least 5 years of experience working on complex employee relations issues
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as the ability to diagnose and develop appropriate solutions to complex cross-organization and/or issues
    • Broad technical knowledge and expertise in Employee Relations including expertise in risk assessment as well as a strong foundation in the application of employment law in business situations
    • Demonstrated issue and conflict resolution skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex matters.
    • Strong analytical ability to interpret relevant business and statistical data
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including facilitation, presentation, and negotiations skills.

    • Continuous learning by staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal developments

    The base salary range for this position is $122,000-$195,000.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
