Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Billing Specialist based in Red Bank, NJ. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing billing processes, preparing and submitting invoices, supporting accounts receivable, and addressing billing discrepancies. The Billing Specialist will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely billing and payment, keep accurate records, and provide excellent customer service to clients.

Daily Tasks

• Submitting Claims
• Following up on denials
• Returning patient calls
• Completing intake of new patients
• Handling of social media accounts
• Verifying Benefits and Eligibility of new and existing clients
• Ensuring all emails are answered within 24 hours for clinicians and patients

Hours - Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday 10am-4pm

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable
• Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and terminology, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, and insurance claims processing
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing software, such as Epic or eClinicalWorks
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, and other stakeholders
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to prioritize tasks effectively
