POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for all operational functions within their scheduled shift. This position is also responsible for developing of direct reports and maintaining open communication with peers on other shifts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, service, and productivity.
Select, train, develop and retain staff to meet daily and future operational goals.
Partner with the HR department to develop management team through active development planning and performance management programs.
Provide feedback, counsel, and advice to team members.
Hold direct reports and team members accountable for established goals and responsibilities.
Create daily workload plans designed to provide excellent customer service and achieve departmental KPI's.
Monitor and track performance of all areas of responsibility.
Adhere, maintain operational procedures for all production departments.
Ensure appropriate cross-departmental communication and training occurs.
Balance daily workloads. Forecast upcoming volume and staff accordingly.
Ensure company policies are administered consistently.
Train and become proficient in LEAN methodologies. Partnering with the leadership team, use these techniques to improve building efficiencies.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Five - eight years of management experience at a supervisor level or higher in retail production/distribution environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Must have excellent supervisory and communication skills with strengths in associate engagement.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and direct activities of a team.
Working knowledge of Manhattan WMS to work in conjunction with the Super User.
Strong project and time management skills, organizational, planning, and expediting skills.
Must have strong PC skills and internet skills, including MS, Word, Excel & Power Point.
Ability to relocate is strongly preferred.

Regularly performs computer work, walks, stands, and/or lifts up to 50lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
