Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Designs and develops facilities, work areas and work procedures. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager directs preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.   • Job Description:

    In the role as a Lead Env/Health/Safety Manager, you will work within EHS framework to create and implement petroleum storage tank programs for multiple sites including inspections, testing, permitting, alarm management, and SPCC.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    Develop and implement petroleum storage tank compliance policies, procedures, programs, and training to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    Provides subject matter expertise for environmental compliance program management specific to petroleum storage tanks, SPCC and Remediation.

    Stay up to date on industry rules and regulations.

    Creates initiatives and solutions with quantifiable reduction in petroleum storage tank non-compliance issues.

    Drive process improvements to enhance environmental compliance performance across the organization.

    Conducts root cause analysis to identify and address potential gaps in process.

    Provide guidance and support to employees on petroleum storage tank compliance-related matters.

    Analyzes environmental compliance and activity data to prepare executive level insights.

    Additional Experience

    Background in environmental compliance, with knowledge of tank related regulations - 40 CFR Part 280, 40 CFR112 and industry codes and standards (i.e., API, ASTM, PEI, NFPA, STI/SPFA, FTPI). 

      

    Proven track record of developing and implementing environment, and regulatory programs and initiatives for petroleum storage tanks that drive continuous improvement and achieve measurable results.

    Experience in policy development.

    Proven experience as an Environmental Manager or a similar environmental leadership role.

    Ability to conduct data analysis and communicate findings to business operations leaders and executive leaders.

    Experience in working with multiple customers to achieve environmental compliance objectives.

    Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations to improve environmental performance.

    Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on environmental compliance practices - Proficient in report writing and record keeping. 

    Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    Data analytics using systems such as PowerBI. 

    Has attained or able to attain certification in EHS discipline (i.e., CHMM).

    Other pertinent environmental certifications or designations are desirable.

    Education: Preferred Bachelors degree related to Environment, Health, and Safety (i.e., engineering, physical, environmental or life science) or Bachelors degree relevant to applicable EHS field or 5 years of relevant experience in the applicable EHS field.

    Experience: Typically 5 to 7 years of relevant Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) experience and/or EHS related professional certification preferred.

    Supervisory: No.

    Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&Ts compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions .

    Our Lead Env/Health/Safety Managers earn between $118,800 & $178,200 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
