Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Position Objective:
The Life Safety Specialist assists the Environment of Care and Life Safety efforts in providing a safe environment and assuring compliance with regulatory codes. In addition, supporting the development and implementation of sustainable safety processes and systems for engineering standard operating procedures and coordinating the education and interfacing with engineering and clinical staff.

Required Minimum Experience:
1 – 3 years healthcare facilities operations
Required License/Certifications:
NFPA, Joint Commission, or Healthcare Regulatory Agency certificates preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong interpersonal, communication - verbal and written
Strong organizational skills – experience with writing and developing and implementing policies and procedures
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
