Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. You will play a key role in developing and implementing compliance programs to minimize environmental impact and maintain regulatory compliance.
Duties:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with environmental regulations
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing compliance programs
- Provide guidance and training to staff on environmental compliance matters
- Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental regulations and ensure organizational compliance
- Investigate incidents of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare reports on environmental performance and compliance status
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for sustainable practices
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance management
- Strong knowledge of EPA regulations and standards
- Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations
- Experience in conducting inspections and audits for compliance purposes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze complex data and make recommendations based on findings
