We have a large construction company looking for a Safety Professional in Ann Arbor, MI!

Job Summary :

As Construction Safety Professionals, we prioritize the implementation of best practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and cultivating a culture of safety enhancement on targeted construction projects.

• Rate of Pay : $110,000 / year.
• Shift : Day Shift - 5 / 10s could shift to 6 / 10's.
• Location : Ann Arbor, MI.

Responsibilities :

• Mentor, educate, and train staff on safety protocols.
• Foster a positive safety culture within the team.
• Attend safety meetings as required, at varying frequencies.
• Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices.
• Facilitate pre-task planning, audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and permit processes.
• Conduct site-specific orientations, training classes, and toolbox talks.

Requirements and Experience :

• Minimum of 7 years of direct construction safety oversight experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of Construction Safety Standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in diverse construction and safety practices.
• Preferably experienced in ground-up construction safety oversight.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with teams across all organizational levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.

Education and Credentials :

• Minimum requirement of CHST Certification. ASP or CSP Certification preferred.
• Degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
