About the Role

The Paralegal plays a pivotal role in supporting the attorney(s); therefore, ensuring excellent client service while navigating through the estate planning process with Hargrove Firm. The Paralegal must be able to work independently, communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of organization. Flexibility, a solid understanding of estate planning and/or trust & estate administration terminology and principles, and a respect for confidentiality requirements will be critical components to success in this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain database of clients
• Monitor matter progress; log activity; provide updates; enter/update data, etc.
• Support attorneys with drafting of estate planning and trust & estate administration documents.
• File and e-file court documents.
• Draft and record deeds
• Support office functions such as mailing, scanning, answering phones, etc.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements

• 2 years of experience in the legal field preferred; 1 years of Estate Planning and/or Estate & Trust Administration experience required.
• 1 years of experience in case and/or project management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom; Basic proficiency in learning and navigating new technology systems.
• Prior experience with Clio or similar matter management database preferred
• High level of organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to customer service and confidentiality
• Team-player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
