About the Role:

As the Lead Manager for Tax Practice & Ethics, you will be the tax voice and subject matter expert for the Association, leading and supporting key leadership initiatives, partner with Association teams on strategic priorities, tax awareness deliverables, Tax Section membership acquisition and retention, tax-related webcasts and conferences, the development of technical tax content, and management of Tax Division volunteer groups.

You Will:

• Be responsible for member engagement by leading the tax awareness strategy including development, management, and execution of tax content on behalf of tax and the Tax Section while collaborating with multiple Association teams including the Experience Team. 
• Oversee and contribute to the marketing strategy for the Tax Section including creating deliverables in collaboration with various Association teams including the Experience team.
• Develop business strategies to support the Tax Section’s goals ($5.4 million in Tax Section revenue) and mission to increase membership and strengthen retention (approximately 26,000 members).
• Oversee and contribute to the website strategy, management for the tax interest area.
• Support important leadership plans and priorities by providing strategic planning, professional insights, communications, collaboration and project management activities.
• Serve as the tax voice for the Association by staying up to date with tax developments and keeping members informed of changes.
• Foster relationships between the Tax Practice & Ethics team and the organization, which includes supporting Association plans, reaching out to and partnering with other Association teams and working with state societies and outside organizations.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and 5 years of related experience in a tax role (e.g., public accounting, industry or academics), including experience with tax software (e.g., preparation, research, planning, or ERP)
• Tax technical knowledge and tax research skills
• Active CPA license, MBA or equivalent designation desirable
