    We seek an experienced and dedicated Senior Ethics Investigator to join our Ethics, Equity, and Inclusion team. The Senior Ethics Investigator will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and ethical conduct of our organization. This position is responsible for conducting prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into potential violations of the company’s code of ethics, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investigations, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of ethical and human resources compliance issues.

    LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

    Complex responsibilities related to primary focus of job area. Uses best practices and in-depth business knowledge to solve complex problems and improve products or services. May adapt procedures, processes and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of position.

    Essential Functions

    • Lead and conduct comprehensive investigations into allegations of ethical misconduct, policy violations, fraud, and other compliance issues.
    • Ensure investigations are conducted promptly, thoroughly, and impartially, maintaining confidentiality and integrity throughout the process.
    • Collect and perform data analysis supporting investigative outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate and organized records of all investigations and related activities within ethics reporting systems.
    • Prepare comprehensive investigative reports with findings to include evaluation of any process gaps or practices that create a legal risk to mitigate organizational liability.
    • Present investigative results to leaders, and other stakeholders as required, clearly and coherently.
    • Develop, review, and implement ethics policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) to recommend improvements based on investigative findings and industry best practices.
    • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate employees on Ethics Awareness.
    • Promote a culture of ethical conduct throughout the organization.
    • Identify potential ethical vulnerabilities; work with HRBPs to develop recommendations to prevent future risks.
    • Work closely with other departments, including Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and Security to ensure a coordinated approach to investigations and compliance matters.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor on ethics and compliance issues.
    • Provide recommendations on investigative best practices and identify solutions to identified trends or areas of concern.
    • Regularly report investigatory results, trends, and key findings to the Ethics Team.
    • Ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed of significant issues and potential risks, supporting informed decision-making at the highest level.
    • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Ethics, Equity, and Inclusion Team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, criminal justice, industrial psychology, social work, business administration, accounting or finance, law, or related field and
    • 7 years of experience conducting complex investigations, preferably in employment matters, ethics and compliance, internal audits, legal or related fields; Or
    • High School Diploma and 9 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations with 5 years of direct experience investigating and advising individually and collectively on ethics and/or employment-related matters.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
    • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
    • Certified Law Enforcement Officer

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Availability for travel, including overnight stays, as required.
    • Availability to work throughout the company's service territory.
    • Computer usage for extended durations.
    • Occasional overnight travel required.
    • Use of computer equipment, including a keyboard, mouse, and computer monitor.
