Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Extrusion Operator, Sr. adjusts and cleans machines. Documents work performed as required. Additionally, Extrusion Operator, Sr. may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Extrusion Operator, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. General Description
This position is responsible for supporting the operator in loading, organizing, and packaging of process material to customer specifications.

- Work closely with operator to ensure proper packaging and placement of products
- Visually inspect products to customer specifications, looking for any imperfections including scratches, dents, bows, and twists
- Contact maintenance personnel immediately if there are issues pertaining to the performance of the saw operation, blades, forklift operation, crane operation, etc
- Assist with clean up procedures
- Complete documentation as required
- Follow all safety requirements
- Complete all other duties as assigned
- Cross-train, learn and support other functions or processes as required
- Ability to read a tape measure and any other instruments required
- Ability to complete accurate documentation and work on computers
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, working safely
- Flexible to work overtime or change shifts are required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Exposure to all types of temperatures
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, bending, lifting and reaching overhead
- Physical strength sufficient to move parts and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Sufficient manual dexterity required to perform job properly
- High degree of care required to operate in a safe manner
- Appropriate safety equipment is necessary
- Overtime hours may be required
- Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week
- There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes, odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts and bright lights. Typically located in a warehouse setting
