FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Facilities Supervisor will act as a team leader and will direct the daily activities and monitor performance and completion of assigned responsibilities. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and within project scope.
· Maintain a project plan to monitor and track progress.
· Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors/subs.
· Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
· Interact with team members and customers
· Respond effectively to all emergencies.
· Prepare ongoing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders.
· Proactively perform inspections to identify ongoing maintenance needs for the client site.
· Provide training to expand the capabilities of the Facility Department staff.
· Assist with hiring qualified staff technicians.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
· Bi-lingual is a plus
· Computer literacy to use business software is a plus
· Reliable attendance and punctuality.
· Valid California Driver’s License if job includes travel.
· At least one year of similar supervisory experience.
