FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Overview

    The Facilities Supervisor coordinates the day-to-day cleaning, maintenance, and maintenance inventory of CPI’s MN facilities. They will lead a small team of custodians and support any contracted custodian. Your leadership and planning will be essential in optimizing our facilities, cost reduction and improving efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages the facilities and maintenance supplies including maintenance inventory with a lens toward cost reduction
    • Developing and implementing maintenance plans, schedules, and strategies to ensure facilities are well-maintained, improved as required, and compliant with regulations.
    • Ensuring facilities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, managing permits and certifications, and addressing compliance issues proactively.
    • Establishing and enforcing quality control standards, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments to ensure maintenance work consistently meets established criteria.
    • Collaborating with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and ensuring work is completed to specifications and within budget.
    • Collaborates across functional areas to implement needed improvements (tools, equipment, procedures, forms, training materials, etc.)
    • Follow all safety policies and procedures including enforcing required PPE, following incident reporting protocol, and completing all required safety training.
    • Builds a culture of process improvement in facilities

    Qualifications

    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
    • Ability to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectively
